Blue Ridge Parkway III, VA

I painted on the Blue Ridge Parkway last week and had a great time, I went back a second time to finish it up. I like lining up the painting with the mountains . . . the proportions are never the same in a photograph as when you are outside with the view. The first day the sky was brighter, so I stuck to that. Will take this to Wintergreen for the Labor Day Show, 24" x 48" oil on canvas, framed, $1,250.

Fog & Rain, Adirondacks

We all went out to paint in the rain while at Paul Smith College, it was fun and challenging . . . 100 wet painters. Some more prepared than others, I fared pretty well, but next time I will take a longer thicker rain coat! I felt this painting was a bit of a break through, and enjoy remembering that day painting with the mist.   9" x 12" oil on board, framed $200.
